G7 Summit: Zelensky and Fumio Kishida lay wreaths at Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima
Volodymyr Zelensky has said that at least one person was killed and 15 wounded in a Russian missile attack on a clinic in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Friday.
The Ukrainian president condemned the attack as a crime against humanity, as the Ukrainian Defense Ministry called it a serious war crime under the Geneva Conventions, which set out how soldiers and civilians should be treated in war.
Pictures show a destroyed building with smoke billowing from it as rescue workers watch. Much of the top floor of what appeared to be a three-storey building was badly damaged, as were cars parked nearby.

“The buildings of a psychiatric clinic and a veterinary clinic were destroyed in the city of Dnipro. Till now, one person has died and 15 have been injured.”
Russia has repeatedly denied allegations that its troops committed war crimes in Ukraine.

Ukraine war pensioner sweeps fields for mines to protect cows
A remarkable pensioner in Ukraine is using a metal detector to comb her fields for mines and remnants of war so she can put her cows to pasture and plant vegetables.
Hanna Plyshchinska, 67, returned several weeks ago to her home in Stepova Dolina in southwest Ukraine – a rural community of 150 people that was emptied as fighting raged for months during Russia’s invasion last year.
The village on the edge of the Kherson region found itself on the front line and came under heavy shelling from both sides. Plishchinska wanted to stick it out, but eventually ran away with her cow, chickens and ducks.
The area lies in ruins, although fighting ended after Ukraine captured the city of Kherson last November.
She returned to find her house standing, although its windows were broken, and began scouring the area with a metal detector to check for mines and other hazards.
“What if my cow died from an explosion, what would I do?” He said.

Black Sea grain deal slow to move after expansion
A deal allowing safe wartime exports of grain and fertilizer from Ukrainian Black Sea ports has yet to become full operations, the United Nations said Friday, stalled ahead of Russia’s decision last week to extend it.
The pact, called the Black Sea Grain Initiative, signed last July by the United Nations and Turkey with Russia and Ukraine to try to ease a global food crisis exacerbated by Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, covers three ports , but no ship has been authorized to make the voyage. The United Nations said that the Pivdeni (Yuzhny) port from 29 April.
The UN and Turkey are working closely with the rest of the parties “with the aim of resuming full operations and removing all obstacles that hinder operations and limit the scope of the initiative,” the UN said in a statement.
Ukraine accused Russia on Tuesday of effectively cutting the Pivdeni port out of the Black Sea deal after Russia complained it has been unable to export ammonia through a pipeline to Pivdeni under the agreement.
The UN said on Friday that the Black Sea Agreement also provides for the export of fertilizer, including ammonia, but “so far no such export has taken place.”
“Russia is ready to launch the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline in a few days, while Kiev has been blocking it for almost a year, imposing new conditions,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
A Ukrainian government source told Reuters last week that Kiev would consider allowing Russian ammonia to cross its territory for export if the Black Sea grain deal was expanded to include more Ukrainian ports and a wider range of commodities. was expanded.
Under the Black Sea Grain Export Agreement, a Joint Coordination Center (JCC) in Istanbul – made up of officials from Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations – authorizes ships and conducts inbound and outbound inspections of ships.
“According to the information shared by the Ukrainian delegation with the parties to the JCC, there are 54 vessels waiting to sail to Ukrainian ports. Of these, 11 applications have been shared with the JCC for registration.
