Phillip Scofield scandal latest: Who's hosting This Morning as Holly Willoughby issues statement
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary pay tribute to the former today morning host Philip Schofield on Monday’s episode (May 22).
Accepting his decision to leave the show, Hammond said: “We cannot begin without paying tribute to the man who spent the last two decades sitting in the chair. today morning Sofa, Philip Schofield.
“Everyone on and off-screen on the show, ITV and today morning I want to say a huge thank you to Phil for everything he has done over the past 21 years to make the show such a success.
“Quite simply, we all know he is one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever produced. And we and the entire team wish him all the best for the future.”
O’Leary then clarified that Willoughby, who often co-hosts with Schofield, was currently on holiday before the school half term and would return to the show on Monday 5 June.
