A music-loving grandfather, aged 95, has been crowned the world’s longest-serving brass band player by Guinness World Records – and he’s tooting his horn about it, noting that he Will be able to help lead his band’s local celebration of the coronation of King Charles on 8 May.

He is also passing his musical talents on to the next generation through his grandson, 21-year-old Louis Street, who plays cornet in the same band.

Street said, “Even though it was cold and wet and we could barely feel our fingers, we all did our best and it was a great opportunity to be a part of it.”
